Staff Bios

Mike Cox

Mike was the original employee of Ed's Collision in 1979. This started as a summer job, which then turned into a lifelong career. Mike started out working in the shop, moved into the role of Production Manger then eventually General Manager. In June 2006, Mike purchased Ed's Collision! Mike is active in Maple Grove Rotary, Chamber of Commerce. He sits on the Auto Body Advisory Board for Hennepin Vocational College and enjoys spending time with his family.

Sandy Cox

Sandy joined the team in 2006 and takes care of the financial end of the business here at Ed’s Collision, including payables and receivables. She is also responsible for Human Resources and employee benefits along with many other miscellaneous issues as they arise. Sandy enjoys horseback riding and bicycling in her free time.

Andrea Larson

Andrea started working at Ed’s Collision in 2002. This was her first full-time job and she has learned so much being an employee here. Andrea enjoys her job because she gets to help customers with any questions they may have, have a conversation with them or just say “have a great day”. She is the first person you see when you walk in the door. Andrea will assist you in any way she can.

Kelli Friese

Kelli comes to us with over 25 years of marketing experience. She has been a part of the Ed’s team for 8 years. As a MN state licensed insurance continuing education instructor, her duties here include facilitating and educating insurance agents in the state of Minnesota. She also handles promotions such as local high school all-night graduation parties, northwest chamber events, contributions to local charities and civic organizations, as well as city-wide celebrations. In addition she organizes our internal employee sales, recognition and awards programs.

Shawn Hartner

Shawn started here in 1988 as a general laborer. He has 20 years of body labor experience. He also has numerous I-Car and ASE Master Collision Repair/Refinish Technician certifications. Shawn has been the Production Manager here since 2006. Shawn is an avid hunter and angler.

Chad Swanson

Chad has worked at Ed’s for 7 years. On a daily basis he performs many duties. Chad has experience in detailing and parts and attended Hennepin Technical College for Auto Body. When he is not at work Chad enjoys drag racing, fishing and working around his house.

Chris DeLorenzo

Chris joined the team at Ed’s in 2005. Along with over 18 years in the industry, he brings a good perspective to the company. This is because of the various positions he held in the business from detailing cars up to estimating the damage to the cars. Because of this, Chris understands the process the cars go through during the repair procedure.

Judy Gordon

Judy began at Ed's Collision in 1993. She has 21 years experience in the automotive collision industry beginning with detailing and now estimating the damage done to your car. With her background in detailing, Judy ensures that every car she works with leaves looking it's best. In her free time Judy enjoys bicycling and showing collector cars.

Body/Finish Technicians

Our body and finish technicians are I-CAR certified, ASE certified, (including the MIG welding certification), PPG certified and have had various manufacturer and supplier training.  Between them they have over 80 years of experience.
